West Chester, Ohio

Over the past 20 years West Chester Township has seen a great deal of transformation having grown from a tiny village into an area rich in economic growth and progress. Ranked as one of the 100 finalists in a CNN/Money Magazine rating of Best Places to Live,West Chester's largest boon to the population and economy came with the opening of the Union Centre Boulevard interchange with I-75. Now celebrating its 10th anniversary, Union Centre Boulevard is home to modern meeting spaces, sophisticated hotels, world-famous retailers, and trendy dining venues. Coming to Union Centre Boulevard in March 2008 is the internationally-known home furnishings retailer IKEA. West Chester's link to the past can be best defined by the Voice of America Park. The 530-acre park, formerly known as the federal Voice of America Bethany Relay Station, was conveyed to the community for park and recreation purposes when broadcasts ceased in 1994. The tranquil Voice of America Park is home to a variety of grassland bird species and other wildlife, as well as six miles of walking and jogging trails, athletic fields and Wiggly Field Dog Park. A canvas for the contemporary, West Chester aggressively pursues the latest technological advances to make it easy to do business - or escape it - while maintaining a special sense of community and home.
